If ever an announcement deserved a parade, the introduction to the world of the Your Next Read series at Sydney Writers’ Festival was such an announcement.

It was a wonderful experience to share the series, which we’ve been working on behind the scenes with Affirm Press for some time now.
We are bringing the same passion, love and joy for Australian children’s literature and literacy to this series that we bring to every aspect of Your Kid’s Next Read – and that passion, love and joy is matched by Tash Besliev, Simon & Schuster’s publishing director, children’s and her incredible team at Affirm Press.

We will have much more to share about Your Next Read over the coming months, but for now we are cleaning gold feathers out of every corner of our suitcases and packing away our tiaras so we can roll up our sleeves and get to work.
